08/21/2002 Entry: "Great and British"
According to The Times, the BBC has announced a list of the "100 greatest Britons", as determined by a national poll. It's a strange list, possibly the only time you'll see the names of John Wesley and Robbie Williams mentioned in the same breath.

Can't remember where Lewis was born, but I'm sure they included others born in Ireland. Born in the British Isles, I suppose.

Then I happened to think last evening...wasn't Lewis Irish by birth? Oh, but then it says Britons...ah well, my vote remains.Regards,Rick
